This hummingbird appears to be a female Anna’s Hummingbird and she is such a brilliant color when caught in the correct light. The flower is a Bromeliad and the background is just black paper. It was getting dark when I took this picture, so I used some special lighting. I wanted bright colors on a black background and this little hummer was happy to oblige. Hummingbirds symbolize so many things and flying free is one for sure.

Prints are available printed on metallic paper, canvas, metal (aluminum) or acrylic.
