Pink gerbera daisies and a sweet female Anna’s Hummingbird make a beautiful pair. Hummingbirds do not drink though their beaks like a straw. They lap up nectar with their tongues around 10-20 times per second. Their tongues are actually forked and it is an unexpected maneuvering that allows them to lap up the nectar or sugar water from a feeder.
