This little hummingbird felt that all the tulips belonged to him. He spent more time guarding them than he did drinking their nectar. Observing the long straight tail, the sloping head and the markings next to the eye, I believe this is an Anna’s Hummingbird. They also have a unique sound they make when chasing other birds. This is one of the more prevalent hummingbirds we see in Southern California. Some people buy this picture because it looks like a cross. That's cool.
